VINTAGE TESTED FENDERJAGUAR GUITAR PICK UP.  1962-1963

Came out of an old Fender Jaguar many years ago. Reads 6.1Kon the ohm meter. It has 1 black cloth wire & 1 red cloth wire. Poles pieces are even. I believe the red wire indicates this to bethe neck pick-up. Hooked it up to an amp and tapped it, sounds strong. I amselling the other pick-up in a separate auction... the other pick-up does notread on an ohm meter BUT does make sounds if you tap it while hooked up to anamp(see description in other auction). Ifyou win both I will combine the shipping costs..USPS Priority insured w/confirmation. Please don't pay till I figure out postage, insurance and I send invoice. International bidding is OK on this item.

From the following Fender Jaguar history site:

The pickups followStratocaster pickups in materials, but are different in a couple obvious ways. The magnets protrude from the bottom, and the wire eyelets are in the siderather than on a lip extension. There is a sawblade like frame around each pickup. This was made with the intention to concentrate the magnetic field for a punchytone, not for shielding as the Urban Legend suggests. Originally the twoshorter teeth are meant to go under the two plain strings (wound G strings werethe norm in 1962), but they left the factory all over the place.
