Vintage 60's Goya Made In Italy Hollow Body Single Cut Tremolo Electric Guitar

Vintage 60's Goya Made In Italy Hollow Body Single Cut Tremolo Electric Guitar

Welcome bidders, up for auction today we have an exciting vintage piece. This is the 60's Goya Made In Italy hollow body electric guitar. 24.75" scale. 1.69" nut width. 16 5/16" bottom bout. 1.79" deep. Serial #: 2288. The Italy Goya's have developed a legion of devoted collectors and players. With the tone here, it's easy to see why. The body here is hollow mahogany- this gives you warmth and exceptional tonal depth. Into that Goya placed a single coil neck pickup. The pickups soaks up all of that great hollow body tone and adds some nice articulation. This gives you all the big warm tone you expect from the neck pickup while retaining note value. Roll back the tone knob and a solid jazz tone is right there. Perfect. Like many 60's guitars, the neck here is very thin. At just .77' thick at the 5th fret, this is one of the thinnest I have seen. The fretboard has a 7.25" radius bringing a classic feel to bends as well as making chordwork extremely comfortable. The icing on the cake is the vibrato- very smooth travel- enabling all of your favorite classic pitch bends. The look here is amazing- trans cherry finish showing those wood grains perfectly. The front of the body features multi-ly binding, while the back is tortoiseshell bound. Excellent condition- there are a few small marks and a lifted hairline on the back(no movement). The frets are clean- just professionally setup with action of just 3/32" at the 12th fret. This is your chance to get your hands on a rare find- the 60's Goya- Made In Italy. This is a no reserve auction. Don't pass it by!
