Vintage 60's Japan ES-335 ES-345 Style Electric Guitar w/Varitone & Case

Welcome to Musicdungeon. You are bidding on an insanely cool vintage piece. This is the 60's Japan ES-335/345 style electric guitar. 24.75" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. 15.75" bottom bout. 1.69" thick. This is one of the coolest Japan Gibson copies we have seen in a long time. They really covered all the bases here- nylon saddles, split parallelogram inlays, dual humbuckers, open-book style headstock w/crown inlay, deep trans cherry finish, and the icing on the cake- the varitone. Starting off here we have a full hollow maple body with trapeze tailpiece- this gives the guitar a nice warm acoustic resonance with just a little bit of maple high end mids. The dual humbuckers grab all that seet tone and add some rich mid flavors. Played clean you get a nice bite off the bridge pickup with the acoustic resonance backing it up. The neck pickup has incredible warmth. Add some gain and these pickups open right up with some incredible overdrives. Add in the varitone and a whole other world of tones open up to you- perfect for acheiving dark cleans to high midrange leads. A great player. The neck here is thin and fast. Using a bolt-on design, this enables very good tone transfer while adding a bit of clarity. At .78" thick(5th fret) with a C profile, this is very comfortable. Add to that the 12" radius and you have a great player- easy chording and effortless bends. The look here is great- fom the deep cherry finish showing the wood grains to the raised pickguard. Excellent condition- there are some pick scratches, the typical bolt-on neck pocket stresses, some nut chipping(pic), and a few marks but nothing that affects the tone or playability whatsoever. The frets are clean- just professionally setup with action of 3/32" at the 12th fret. This auction includes the chipboard case in pics. This is your chance to get your hands on an incredible Japan Gibby tribute. This is a no reserve auction- don't pass this by!
