Vintage Kingston Electric Guitar

  • Price:$289.95

Here is a really cool early '60's Japanese guitar. There is no labeling but the headstock, hardware, and pickup suggest the "Kingston" brand from Teisco. The neck set is good and the frets show no wear. The scale length is 24 5/8". The electronics are clean and quiet. This guitar is actually in very playable condition. The finish is in good shape overall but has the dings and chips these guitars usually show. They were almost always bought for kids after all. There is one major chunk (bigger than a chip) on the top horn (pic #5) and the second string tuning key (pic #10) is bent but functional. There is also a bit of pitting on the metal pickguard. The combination of the chunky neck and low output single coil give this little guy a great tone. With some compression and overdrive it really sings as a slide guitar. This little guy needs a good home. Any takers? This guitar ships in a new deluxe Planet Waves gigbag.
